Object-Oriented Programming and the Self
Today we are learning about OOP (Object-oriented Programming) which is one way to structure our code into classes. Apparently there is a technical debate about whether or not it is best practice. We are learning about the constructor method.
I’ve been doing research on women in the technical field to see what blog topics they write about. I want to bring something valuable to the table with a perspective that only I can bring insight into.
I guess the first step is to know myself. If I described myself in nouns it would be:
- philanthropy
- hippie
- biker, skater
- van life
- buddhism
- minimalism
That’s who I am this instance, I prioritize these attributes and I want to consciously influence my code.
I’m two weeks in to a four month coding bootcamp called Digitalcrafts. The journey alone to get here is an epic saga. And the coming journey starts the record today with this blog entry. As I acquire skills and tools to be a proficient software engineer, I will continuously reflect and try to apply my skills toward causes I care about and projects that I am passionate about it.
Good Soul = Good Code
